Description
The soft-touch plastic knob on my 3D mouse started to degrade over the years so I decided to make a replacement cap out of walnut.
The replacement cap was turned on a lathe and sized based on the original cap and my own preference for feel. The walnut was finished using multiple coats of a salad-bowl finish with extra coats on the top surface for additional gloss and fewer thin coats on the sides for increased grip.
